Open BOMs for the accounting year you want to review. The table shows the BOM name, outputs, year, current version, allocation unit, emissions, and status. Use Columns to show date added or last edited.
Find and open a BOM
Search by name, use Add filters to narrow the table, and choose Sort to change its order. Clear filters if an expected BOM is missing.
Click the small arrow to expand a row. Click the BOM name to open its saved calculation tables. Review outputs, annual quantities, allocation, input conversions, factors, and total emissions.
Edit the current version
- Open the row’s ⋮ menu and choose Edit.
- Update the details, batch outputs, or batch inputs.
- On calculations, change an output’s Total quantity if the annual batch count has changed. All outputs and inputs scale together.
- Review the allocation and factors, then save.
Saving an edit creates the next version, such as V2. Earlier versions remain available to review. If someone else saved a change while you were editing, reopen the latest version before trying again.
Review version history
Choose ⋮ → Show version history. Each entry shows its version, date, author, and total emissions. Where there is a previous non-zero total, the history also shows the percentage change.
Select a version to open its saved calculation tables. An earlier version is read-only. Use the current-version control to return to the latest calculations; use Edit from the table to make a new change.
Archive or unarchive
Choose ⋮ → Archive when a BOM should remain on record but is no longer in active use. Use the status filter to find archived BOMs.
Choose Unarchive to make it active again. The status applies to the BOM only; archiving and unarchiving do not change accounting or inventory.
Delete a BOM
Choose ⋮ → Delete, read the confirmation, and confirm only if the BOM should be removed. Deleting it affects the BOM only. Accounting and inventory records remain unchanged.
Independent copies of existing data
Product suggestions help you start with existing details. Once copied, the BOM owns its names, units, batch quantities, factor information, and calculations. Edit those copies within the BOM.
Changes to a source product do not rewrite a saved BOM. Changes to the BOM do not create or update products, purchases, sales, annual production or consumption, stock counts, or scope activity records. BOM quantities are for the recipe and its emissions allocation.
When editing is unavailable
Auditors can review BOMs and their history. Creating, editing, archiving, or deleting requires editing access and an unlocked accounting year. Ask an Admin to resolve access or year-lock issues. Last modified on October 6, 2026
